I'm Adam McCormack. Yes, formerly Adie of the Weird Sisters, but that was years ago.
Divorced; two kids, who live with me because their mother is a useless sack of shit, but don't tell them I said so because they don't like us fighting even though they agree with me. Ainslie and Flóraidh. (That's pronounced kind of like 'Florie', only Scottish. She'll answer if it's wrong, she's used to it. My fault for being a big dumb rockstar and picking a frilly name, but we like it so everybody's just going to have to deal.)
Ainslie's coming up for fourteen and he's slap in the middle of The Teenage Phase so he's bratty and mouthy and difficult and I keep catching him snogging when he's supposed to be doing homework and he nicks all my hats and ties and scarves and jewellery and stuff. Luckily I'm too tall for him to nick my jeans. He's a wee girly midget. Suits him, though. He dresses like glam-emo (gleamo?) and spends more time in the bathroom doing his hair than anybody I know, but it's okay. He's not a bad kid REALLY, he's just pushing things to see how far he can go. It's pretty far. I'm fairly laid back, as long as he keeps up with marks in school (straight As! Good thing he got my looks and his mother's brains and not the other way around) and doesn't get anybody pregnant, I'll take the mouthing off. He's good to argue with. He's smart and bitchy (like me) so it's good fun.
And Flóraidh's like the POLAR OPPOSITE. She used to want to be a fairy princess (or "printheth" - she lisps, and she'll beat you up if you laugh) so they got on really well. Y'know, practicing make-up on each other and everything. XD But now she wants to be "Mick Jagger'th mithtreth" which is a very worrying thing to hear from your eight-year-old. Either that or a rugby player. She's the sporty one. She's very definitely a girl, but when she's brandishing a hockey stick? DUCK. She's vicious. She bleeds and bruises and proudly shows off her black eyes and broken fingers while I sit there trying not to faint. I'm haemophobic - morbid fear of blood. I just can't do it, I get all sick and dizzy and pass out flat in a cold sweat, and she knows that but she STILL comes running up to me with a streaming nose yelling, "DID YOU THEE MY GOAL?!" like there's nothing wrong. She's the last hope for my mum and sister, since I turned out to be utterly useless at any sport more complicated than running. They used to play tennis, they got two Wimbledons apiece, among others, back in the '60s/'80s. Both retired now, they're coaching back in Scotland and doing the TV stuff for big competitions.
Girlfriend! Dhiaan; also divorced, and will also answer to wrong spellings/pronunciation. It's like Deeanne. We went to school together, she was my PA for years. She beat up the kids who called me faggot, I beat up the kids who called her paki, we bonded in detention and we've been mates ever since. :D Couple of years now and still going strong. Maybe BECAUSE we're mates, I don't know. We don't live together, she's got her own place because she works late doing lighting techie stuff in theatres. Also, living together would probably mean "no more sleeping around" and we're not up for that just yet. ;) I can't see it finishing, though. I love her. We're just in no hurry to rush anything. We both rushed into things before and look how it all turned out. We're just having a great time.
I write music stuff for the New York Journal. I get paid for going to concerts, slagging people off, and trying to make people listen to the music I love. \m/

Disclaimer: not real, RPG.
